Leaf Transfer Painting with Russel

In this post, we are going to be making leaf transfer prints using hammers with the help of Russell!

 Hello, Russell here!
Welcome to another Aspex at Home activity. Make sure you watch out for those fingers and ensure you protect the surface you’re hammering on.

You will need:
- Some heavy weight cotton like canvas or calico, if you haven’t got any of that, consider an old tote bag you can cut up.
- A selection of leaves
- A hammer

This video will show you how hammering the leaves between the fabric creates the transfer! Be really careful of your worktops & make sure an adult helps with this one.

Here are some examples I made from different leaves. You can experiment with different types & patterns - some flowers can also work well with this! Have fun experimenting with the possibilities!
